BOGOR – PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk (“Darya-Varia”), as a strategic partner of PT Astra Komponen Indonesia (ASKI), attended the launch of locally developed, digitally enabled medical devices held at ASKI’s manufacturing plant. The event was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.
On this occasion, the Minister not only inaugurated the launch of these innovative domestic medical devices, but also toured ASKI’s production facilities, including the research & development (R&D) area, laboratories, and manufacturing lines, to directly observe the capabilities of Indonesia’s medical device development and production. This visit underscores the readiness of the national industry to deliver technology-based innovations while strengthening the independence of Indonesia’s healthcare sector.
Of the six medical devices launched by ASKI, two represent the first locally developed innovations created collaboratively by Darya-Varia and ASKI: DiViLab Optima (4-in-1) and DiViLab Core (3-in-1). The introduction of these devices reflects a strong strategic synergy in delivering technology-driven healthcare solutions that support promotive and preventive healthcare efforts in Indonesia.
DiViLab Optima (4-in-1) is Indonesia’s first multifunctional medical device integrating blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid testing into a single AI- and IoT-based platform. This enables more comprehensive, connected, and continuous health monitoring. Meanwhile, DiViLab Core (3-in-1) offers a practical solution for accurate and efficient testing of blood glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid.
Both devices are equipped with advanced features, including health trend monitoring to track health conditions over time, AI-powered predictive analytics to generate data-driven insights and forecasts, and caregiver support that allows family members or healthcare professionals to monitor users’ conditions in real time—supporting more proactive and integrated health management.
The President Director of Darya-Varia stated, “Our collaboration with ASKI reflects our commitment to delivering locally developed medical device innovations that are not only competitive but also highly relevant to the needs of the Indonesian population. The development of DiViLab Optima and DiViLab Core marks a strategic step in providing technology-based health monitoring solutions that support national health programs, particularly in improving awareness and access to self-screening.”
Since diversifying into the medical device sector, ASKI has developed more than 30 product types, with a domestic content level (TKDN) ranging between 40–59%. This aligns with the increasing adoption of locally produced medical devices, which continues to show a positive trend. Today, domestic medical devices demonstrate strong capabilities and reliability, competing effectively with international products in terms of quality, technology, and usability for both healthcare professionals and the general public.
As a company continuously transforming into an integrated healthcare solutions provider, Darya-Varia is taking a broader role in integrating pharmaceutical, technological, and data capabilities to deliver holistic healthcare solutions. This collaboration further strengthens Darya-Varia’s position as a partner of choice—not only in delivering products, but also in building capabilities, accelerating healthcare technology adoption, and creating long-term value for Indonesia’s national healthcare system.
Looking ahead, Darya-Varia and ASKI will continue to expand the development of digital technology-based medical solutions to support improved access, quality, and sustainability of healthcare services in Indonesia, in line with the national healthcare transformation agenda.
