In celebration of its 50th anniversary, PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk (“Darya-Varia” or the “Company”) has provided a donation to support the renovation and facility enhancement of the Inpatient Stay Area E at the Childhood Cancer Support Center, Graha Yayasan Onkologi Anak Indonesia (YOAI). This stay facility serves as temporary accommodation for pediatric cancer patients and their caregivers, helping to facilitate treatment particularly for families traveling from outside the city.
The renovation and facility upgrade of Inpatient Area E aim to provide improved, comfortable, and more supportive facilities for patients and their families during their course of treatment at the hospital.
The ceremonial event was attended by Darya-Varia’s President Director, dr. Ian Kloer; members of the Company’s management; the Chairperson of Yayasan Onkologi Anak Indonesia, Mrs. Rahmi L. Adi Putra; YOAI’s founders and management team; as well as children and parents receiving support at Graha YOAI.
Darya-Varia’s President Director, dr. Ian Kloer, stated, “As we commemorate DVL’s 50th anniversary, we want this milestone to serve not only as a reflection of the Company’s journey, but also as an opportunity to create meaningful impact for communities in need. We deeply appreciate YOAI’s consistent dedication in supporting pediatric patients. Through this initiative, we hope to provide a more decent, comfortable, and child-friendly space for children battling cancer and their families. This collaboration reflects our shared belief that care and cross-sector partnership can generate broader and more sustainable impact.”
Chairperson of Yayasan Onkologi Anak Indonesia, Rahmi L. Adi Putra, expressed her appreciation for the collaboration. According to her, support from various stakeholders is invaluable for children and families undergoing a long and challenging treatment process.
“The treatment journey for children with cancer requires considerable time and resilience. Support such as this not only enhances facilities but also brings encouragement and hope to the children and their families,” she said.
Rahmi added that YOAI was founded by individuals with personal experience in facing cancer within their own families, giving them a deep understanding of the challenges encountered by patients and parents. Drawing from this experience, she emphasized the importance of collaboration between the private sector and social organizations in delivering sustainable healthcare support.
The renovation and facility enhancement of Inpatient Area E at Graha YOAI demonstrate that an inpatient facility is not merely a temporary place to stay, but also an environment that fosters comfort, support, and hope, while underscoring the importance of collaboration between the business sector and social institutions in accompanying children and their families toward a better future.
