PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk, in collaboration with APP Jakarta Polytechnic and the Ministry of Industry, was embarking on an innovative effort to enhance halal literacy among Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through the "Halalpreneur" program, which focuses on halal certification through a Business Incubator Unit. This synergy between the private sector and the government is a joint commitment to strengthen understanding of the importance of halal certification in the industry.

According to demographic data from the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH), over 13.2 million Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) across Indonesia are estimated to require halal certification. Among these, the number of registrants from 2019 to June 2023 stands at 40,223, with a total of 18,649 certificates issued. Collaborative initiatives such as the Halalpreneur program, initiated in partnership with Darya-Varia, are crucial in expediting the halal certification process.

Darya-Varia, a leading player in the pharmaceutical and health product sectors, with all its products being halal certified, takes a proactive role in enhancing understanding of halal certification. Through this program, SMEs in the Bogor region will receive training in halal supervision, coaching clinics to implement the Halal Product Assurance System, and assistance in applying for halal certification. These steps are aimed at empowering SMEs to meet halal standards and build consumer trust.

Widya Olivia Tobing, Corporate Secretary of PT Darya Varia Laboratoria Tbk, stated, "We are proud to once again collaborate to ensure the success of the halal certification facilitation program this year, which exemplifies the true synergy between the private sector and the government. This step reflects our commitment to enhancing halal literacy among SMEs, ultimately contributing to a higher-quality and standards-compliant industry."

Amrin Rapi, ST, MT, Director of the APP Jakarta Polytechnic, also remarked, "We highly appreciate this innovative collaboration between PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk and the Ministry of Industry through the APP Jakarta Polytechnic in supporting the Halalpreneur program. This collaboration is a concrete example of how the private sector and educational institutions can come together to enhance halal literacy and facilitate halal certification among SMEs. This support provided will not only catalyze the success of this program but will also assist SMEs in the Bogor region in meeting halal standards, thereby contributing to a more competitive and integrity-driven industry."

Through the Halalpreneur program, it is expected that a significant positive impact will be generated for SMEs in the Bogor region and serve as inspiration for other private sector entities to support SMEs in obtaining halal certification.
