As it approaches its 50th anniversary, PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk (Darya-Varia) continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to improving the quality of life and public health in Indonesia. One of the key initiatives reflecting this commitment is the stunting prevention program implemented in Cibatok 1 and Cibatok 2 Villages, Cibungbulang, Bogor Regency — a program that has been consistently running since 2018.
This year, Darya-Varia introduced the theme “Education & Nutrition Movement for a Healthy Generation,” as a continuation of its ongoing efforts to support public health. The program aims to raise community awareness about the importance of balanced nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
GEN SEHAT program was officially launched on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Cibatok 2 Village Office, with full support from the local government and community health workers. Designed with an educational and participatory approach, includes activities such as the provision of nutritious food, healthy cooking workshops, physical exercises, and health education for adolescents, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers.
During the educational session, Salma Widya Azhari, S.Gz, M.Gz, as the speaker, emphasized the importance of the First 1,000 Days of Life (HPK) for a child’s growth and development. She highlighted, “The first 1,000 days are crucial, as 80% of brain development occurs during this period. If not properly supported, the impact can be long-lasting as the child grows into adulthood.”
According to data from Cibungbulang Health Center (Puskesmas) as of August 2025, the number of stunting cases in Cibatok 1 and 2 Villages has decreased from 68 children in 2018 to just 7 children in 2025. Strategic collaboration among the local government, community, and private sector has been the key to the program’s success. Through GEN SEHAT, Darya-Varia continues to make a tangible contribution toward building a healthier generation for Indonesia.
