The establishment of the Wound Care Center addresses the growing need for standardized management of both chronic and acute wounds in Indonesia. A study conducted by Universitas Bhakti Kencana found that 60% of respondents had experienced wound infections during treatment, while 75% expressed the need for more technical education on proper wound care. These challenges are becoming increasingly significant amid the rising prevalence of chronic diseases such as diabetes, which often lead to wound complications, alongside a high incidence of acute wounds resulting from surgery, trauma, and accidents.
Designed as an integrated wound management center, the Wound Care Center provides comprehensive treatment for a wide range of conditions, including diabetic wounds, post-surgical wounds, oncology-related wounds, as well as scar management for keloids, hypertrophic scars, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and aesthetic wound care.
