The role of women is closely associated with the care of children and looking after the home. But in the modern era, more and more women are choosing to combine a career after getting married with their responsibilities as mothers.
Breast milk is the best way of satisfying the nutritional needs of babies and of boosting their immunity. It is rich in nutrients that accelerate the growth of baby’s brain cells and nervous system. Baby foods made in a factory cannot replace all the benefits of breastfeeding.
Here are some tips to optimize breastfeeding while you work:
- Breastfeed exclusively and frequently during maternity leave.
- Learn to Early Birth Breastfeeding as soon as your baby is born. You can enlist the help of a nurse at the hospital to explain how to do it properly.
- Breast milk can be expressed using three methods by hand, using a manual breast pump or using an electric pump.
- Feed baby in the morning before leaving for work.
- Store breast milk in a closed container and properly label it with the date and time when it was expressed. Then place in the refrigerator or a thermos flask.
- Use a glass or polypropylene plastic bottle with a cover for storing breast milk.
- While in the office, express milk every 2-3 hours.
- Before expressing milk, choose a quiet place and relax. If you are stressed or under pressure, this will inhibit the production of the hormone oxytocin, which can interfere with the expression of breast milk.
- Be sure to get sufficient rest, drink plenty of water and consume nutritious food to maintain the quality and quantity of breast milk.
- Frequently feed baby at night after work and on days off so that milk production remains constant and regular.
